  1. I read a lot of different genres and I enjoy all of them, but my favorite would have to be mystery/thriller because I'm just kinda into that stuff.

    1. I would definitely prefer mystery over thriller. I just don't enjoy scary stories.

    2. They keep me in edge and I find it amazing that books can do that to people.

  2. I would have to say my favorite genre of YA would be dystopia just because I love stories of an underdog who rises up and defeats evil lol they are motivating and inspiring.

    1. I totally agree there are periods when I just want to read one type of book and others where I just want to read whatever I can find.

  4. My favorite sub-genre use to be action but I've recently been more intrigued by dystopia simply because there are so many variations in different dystopia stories and it seems like there's a variation for almost any mood.

    1. Exactly you never know what is gonna happen it does not follow the same storyline as every single other book!

  5. I would have to say that my favorite sub genre is a tie between fantasy and true life stories such as Ellen Hopkins which we learned about during class a little bit. I enjoy the fantasy because it allows me to escape. I like true stories because it reminds that no matter how bad my life may seem to be there is always someone out there going through something much worse.

  6. My favorite sub genre of Young Adult Literature would have to be true life stories. These books let you walk in someone else's shoes for the length of the book. True life stories can be inspiring and uplifting. My favorite part about true life stories would be that they let you adventure off to a new perspective in life.

  8. I would have to pick dystopia like many of the others. I have picked this since it is full of so many twist and can relate to a lot of what is going on around us.

  9. I would go with dystopia I suppose I like the grittiness of it makes the writing seem more powerful then other books where the good guys always win it breaks the pattern they may not win! I like not knowing!
