Knowing the meaning behind most of the words discussed in class changed my viewpoint on the book because those words had like hidden meanings that Anderson purposely used to give that underlying meaning behind what was bound to happen.
Anderson definitely chose his words wisely in this book. He did a good job showing his readers the traits of the characters through their actions and the way they each handle the same situations.
agreed. finding out what all of the words meant changed my understanding of what was going on in the book. i think that Anderson really did a good job of picking words that helped describe everything that was going on in the book.
Honestly I don't think he made all these connections on his own I think part of it is just how some words flow naturally together perhaps it is just how some words evolved so that even now they still combine.
The word fuck changed for me in the book because I am a one street thinker. I liked all the different forms fuck could take and how some of the new meanings came to be. I think that it changed the book for me because I never thought of it as being used for fun and just not caring ususally when I hear the word fuck someone is mad or something bad has just happened or it is used as the sexual aspect. I enjoyed the paper we did it really made me think outside the box.
Knowing the definitions of the words in the book didn't change the book much for me. Doing research on the words actually just made me think about the book more and consider why Anderson worded certain parts the way he did. Even the book didn't change much in my mind, I feel that this project gave me a better insight into the book's overall message.
It made me think more in depth about the book and why he worded things the way he did. Knowing the meanings of words doesn't have to change the whole book and different people see it differently after knowing.
Learning the definitions of these words didn't change the book but just further explained why M. T. Anderson chose those words. There is always a deeper meaning to everything and I think researching different words definitely uncovered some of the deeper things in Feed.
learning the definitions of these words changed the book for me. they didn't change the books plot, but the definitions did make me realiz just how much control the companies have.
I agree josh that the meaning of the word did not change the whole plot of the book but the meaning of the words did change the mood of that section of the book.
I enjoyed what Kyle did with the word fuck. The words didn't change my view of the book since I am mostly concerned with the technology part and how the feed is our cell phones.
Yeah I was gone sick so I cannot give a good perspective on this but I do agree that knowing the base of the word is not earth shattering it is kinda of cool to make connections of words to the story.
I believe better understanding the word choice and definitions of a novel you've read just unconsciously makes you dive head first deeper into the spiral of detailed connections of the novel.
